Despite that, money is cheap and it’s showing: another week of major acquisition announcements with Intuit purchasing Credit Karma for $7.1 Billion in Cash and stock, and Revolut raising another $500 million USD, putting its valuation at a solid $5.5 Billion USD. The partnership and consolidation also craze continues to move full steam ahead, with JP Morgan Exec Jamie Dimon even going so far as to basically issue an open call for JP’s next purchase. Despite easy money - the market reflects reality on the ground and for one giant payments service provider, Klarna, it hit close to home as they had to post their first unprofitable year in their existence.
